IRYA MONDO is a Makati-based female DJ with a strong foundation in dance music and a broad knowledge of music spanning the 1980s to today. Trained under the mentorship of Institute of Sound Philippines, she approaches DJing with both technical discipline and a genuine love for music.
Her sets are genre-conscious and cohesive: rather than jumping randomly between styles, she works within closely related genres and typically keeps the energy and tempo within a natural range.
Her musical range includes house, dance, techno, R&B, hip-hop, funk, and related subgenres. For private and corporate events, she can also incorporate mainstream Top 40 pop—including artists such as Taylor Swift and Katy Perry—when requested by the client or appropriate to the event.
IRYA pays close attention to the people in front of her.
Her goal is to create a dance floor that feels energetic without overwhelming the room—music people can dance and sing along to, while still leaving enough space for conversation and connection.
That flexibility comes from years of living in Metro Manila, growing up with different generations of music, and being part of the theater and queer community. These experiences have given her a wide musical and cultural reference point that translates well to corporate events, private celebrations, bars, clubs, and cafés.
One of her favorite recent sets started with an unexpected change in audience: she arrived expecting an R&B crowd, only to find a room full of Gen X executives ready to hear 80s hits. Reading the room and pivoting accordingly turned into one of her most memorable sets. With each performance, she invites listeners to leave cringe fears at the door and dance with joyful abandon.
